Purpose
What this tool does
This mobile app icon resizer prepares production-ready master icons matching the exact 1024 × 1024 specification for Apple App Store and 512 × 512 for Google Play Console. It strips harmful alpha channels, enforces solid RGB backgrounds, and avoids manually curved corners. It is preconfigured for 1024 × 1024 pixels. Processing happens entirely on your device — your image is decoded, resized, compressed, and prepared for download without being uploaded to any server.
Output
Supported formats and output
Upload JPG, PNG, or WebP. Choose JPG for broad form compatibility and smaller files, WebP where it is accepted, or PNG when transparency and lossless output matter more than an exact KB target.
The result card reports the actual pixel dimensions, format, and file size rather than assuming the target was reached. You can verify the output before downloading.

Common limitations
Apple rejects icons containing transparency or alpha channels (Error ITMS-90717). Do not manually apply rounded corners or drop shadows; iOS automatically applies its continuous curvature mask. Ensure the canvas is a solid square.
Very large photos can exceed a phone's available memory. If processing fails, try a smaller source image. PNG cannot be compressed by changing quality like JPG or WebP.
Privacy
Private browser processing
Your selected image is decoded, resized, compressed, and downloaded locally in your browser. Normal tool operation does not upload the image or its original filename to our server. The processed result stays on your device until you choose to save or share it.
Frequently asked questions
How do Apple App Store and Google Play icon requirements differ?
Apple requires a 1024 × 1024 px PNG with no alpha channel. Google Play requires a 512 × 512 px 32-bit PNG under 1024 KB. Both platforms require full bleed squares without manual corner rounding.
Can I use this tool for unreleased, confidential apps?
Yes. All processing is 100% on-device inside your browser. No files or image metadata ever leave your computer.
